SOB’s is NYC’s premier venue for Haitian, African, and Caribbean music. Opened in 1982 with a mission to amplify the music of the Afro-Latino diaspora, SOB’s is known as one of the first places to bring kompa, raboday, afrobeats, and dancehall to the New York City stage. Amongst the first to hit the stage were legends like Tabou Combo, Kassav, Sweet Micky, Carimi, T-Vice, and Fela Kuti, followed by stars like Klass, Zafem, Wyclef Jean, Tems, Wizkid, Lojay, and more.
