For over 40 years, S.O.B.’s has strived to facilitate a safe, inclusive space. Since 1982, our mission has been providing a platform for the culture – to celebrate and amplify the music and cultural heritage of the Afro-Latino Diaspora. We continue to prioritize the communities that define the amazing city of New York, and the queer communities within them, with an array of programming highlighting African, Caribbean, Brazilian, Latin, Asian, Spanish, Indian, and South American music, as well as Hip Hop, R&B, and Alternative genres. ABOUT THE DJS!!

Ver0 Ma is an independent genre-fluid DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Turning her hobby of collecting dance music from around the world into a responsibility to share her music on various dance floors, Ver0’s natural skill behind the decks pushes a genre-bending yet soulful, nostalgic sound that not only explores her Dominican and Italian roots, but is sure to pay homage to the queer disco and house music pioneers who have paved the way for contemporary DJs. Since her start in 2018, Ver0 has since held residencies and collaborated with venues known throughout queer nightlife and local clubs, such as Henrietta Hudson, Book Club Radio, Fat Buddha, and Mood Ring.

FlwrShrk is a DJ and radio host based in the Bronx, NY. Her sound fuses old-school and contemporary hip hop, house, jersey club, juke, and r&b, reflecting the various influences of her upbringing in New York City. After her 2015 debut, FlwrShrk has worked her way from DJing house parties and nightclubs, to gracing museum and festival stages, including the 2023 REVOLT House at SXSW, Book Club Radio, SILO, and more. Her radio program “HangTime Radio” broadcasts live from Newtown Radio in Bushwick, Brooklyn every week.
