This week we’re highlighting $tylez from our #SOBsCertified playlist. $tylez is an artist from Bronx, New York, who started making music in 2009. With his recent track “What’s Love”, $tylez talks about the internal battle of trying to understand love, when it seems like the opposite tends to surround him. He unpacks some of the trauma he’s faced that caused him to be cynical. $tylezs describes his genre of music as a mixture of Rap & R&B with Influences such as (J. Cole, Russ, Nipsey Hussle & Chris Brown)”. When asked what goals he want to achieve in the next five years, $tylez says, “I’d like to break the barrier for independent artists. I want to become the highest selling/streaming independent artist of all time. I’d like to be one of the biggest names in Hip Hop & bring the Crown back home to The Bronx”.
