About the Artists:
Raekwon “The Chef” is a founding member of Wu-Tang Clan and multi-platinum recording artist from Brownsville, New York. He cemented himself in Hip Hop history as a solo artist with the release of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx in 1995, marking his first solo album. In addition to being one of Hip Hop’s most influential MCs, Raekwon is the founder of record label Ice H20 Records. Embarking upon a new venture in 2024, he is set to open a cannabis dispensary and lounge named “Hashstoria” in Newark, New Jersey this summer.
A frequent performer at S.O.B.’s, Raekwon held his OB4CL II release party at the venue in 2009, featuring guest performers Ghostface Killah and Wyclef Jean. In 2015, S.O.B.’s hosted the exclusive launch of Raekwon’s “Purple Tape” Capsule Collection, marking the last stop on his OB4CL 20th anniversary tour and featuring special guests Scarface, Just Blaze, Prodigy, Mobb Deep, and Slick Rick. Later that year, TheTakeOvah brought Raekwon back to S.O.B.’s with Dave East. Raekwon has also attended shows for, and performed with, 2 Chainz, Cappadonna, Method Man, Kool Herc, and more at the iconic New York City music venue.
DJ Green Lantern has become one of the best-known Hip Hop DJs and producers in New York City, working with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Nas, and Westside Gunn, to name a few. He rose to prominence through his mixtape outputs in the 1990s and later collaborations with Eminem’s Shady Records.
Shiest Bubz is an acclaimed cannabis entrepreneur and cultural enthusiast. He was declared the official Grand Marshal of Cannabis of New York City in 2023, a well-earned title after years of cannabis legalization advocacy. He played a pioneering role in the late 1990s “legal to legacy” blueprint, which has since served as an influential framework for cannabis laws in the city. In 2010, Shiest Bubz founded lifestyle brand “The Smoker’s Club,” which grew into a world tour featuring performances from Smoke DZA, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and more.
At 19 years old, Washington Heights native Lord Sko has positioned himself as a “true-school hip-hop revivalist,” taking a revisionist approach to classic New York Hip Hop. His music has gained attention from the Hip Hop community, leading to collaborative work with Static Selektah, and media attention from On The Radar, Hot New Hip Hop, EARMILK, NYS Music, Rap Radar, and HipHopDX, to name a few. A frequent performer at S.O.B.’s, Lord Sko first appeared at the venue’s “100% Hip Hop” showcase alongside other Hip Hop up-and-comers Wiseboy Jeremy, Dustrial Dre, and Stoic.
