Jamaican reggae singer-songwriter Lila Iké hits the stage at S.O.B.’s on August 18th for a 16+ show.

One of Jamaica’s most powerful contemporary voices, Lila Iké is gaining attention at home and abroad with her distinctive delivery, old-school sensibilities, and modern-day swagger. Her lyrics emphasize important issues like mental health and government corruption, while celebrating love and positivity. Her unique approach to reggae, blending roots and contemporary with rnb and dub influences, has placed her among the next generation of Jamaica’s musical stars.  

Recent accolades include collaborations with H.E.R., Protoje, Jorja Smith, WSTRN, iNi Kamoze, and Skillibeng, performances on NPR Tiny Desk, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Sirius XM’s Late At Night, critical acclaim from BBC, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Vogue, Billboard, Complex, SoulBounce, iHeart Radio, GRAMMY.com, and the New York Times, along with a nomination for Best Reggae Act at the 2020 British MOBO Awards.
