WBAI 99.5FM is partnering with S.O.B.’s to throw another amazing fundraiser: SALSA EXPLOSION. For over 75 years, BAI has provided non-commercial & listener-supported programming on 99.5FM, relying on its loyal audience to continue putting out honest, uncensored, and unique programming across New York City. S.O.B.’s is widely known for its 40+ year long history with salsa, and the venue looks forward to welcoming some of the greatest salsa artists to date onto the stage (including Eddie Montalvo, Dany Martinez, Van Lester, & more) with BAI. As two cultural staples of NYC, S.O.B.’s and BAI have a long-running relationship built on culture, music, & community.

– Dennis Hernandez y su Conjunto Amalia, who recreate the Conjunto sound of 1950s Cuba in New York City. 

– Nodal y Los Soneros De Oriente, who celebrate 20 years of musical success with accolades from the NY Hall of Fame and ACE awards.
