Brazilian samba-funk singer, songwriter, and composer Rogê takes the S.O.B.’s stage for a live show celebrating his latest album Curyman II!
A Latin Grammy nominee and Brazilian Music Awards winner, Rogê is considered a principal part of the MPB (Brazilian popular music) scene revival. In Rio, Rogê signed with Warner Music Brazil and worked alongside samba legends like Arlindo Cruz and Seu Jorge, writing the soundtrack for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Now based in Los Angeles, Rogê released his debut album Curyman in the United States, which touched upon major themes in Brazil: the dominance of nature, the sovereignty of the orixás, and holding on to hope in times of strife.
Rogê has also toured/performed with icons like the Gipsey Kings and Jack Johnson, and was the ambassador for USA ESPN’s World Cup coverage in Brazil back in 2014, sharing Brazilian culture and music with a wider audience in the states.
