Eddie Torres Jr and Princess Serrano

Eddie Torres Jr., son of legendary Latin dancer Eddie Torres and Flamenco dancer Nelida Tirado was born and raised amongst the infectious rhythms of salsa and flamenco. His countless childhood years backstage, in rehearsal and on tour, sparked his interest in the arts. Eddie began studying music at the age of 12 and later graduated from the Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music studying piano and clarinet. He later began his dance training at Ballet Hispanico and Peridance Capezio Center where he trained in ballet, jazz, modern and Afro-Caribbean Dance.

Some highlights of his career include various performances at the Madison Square Garden, the GRAMMYs, MTV, Access Hollywood, Fox5 News Channel, Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Harvard University, the Half time show for the NY Knicks with his group and Tito Puente Jr and more. He’s also had the honor of performing with The Tito Puente Orchestra, Alfredo de la Fe, José Alberto “El Canario”, in collaboration with Wynton Marsalis at Harvard University , Tito Puente Jr., Tito Rodriguez Jr., Arturo O’ Farrill, Bobby Sanabria, and at Jazz at Lincoln Center in collaboration with Wynton Marsalis/Flamenco Festival NY with Chano Domínguez, Jesús Carmona and Jared Grimes. He is a member of the Advisory board of the new upcoming International Salsa Museum in New York City. He has worked as a Latin Dance instructor for Warner Brothers, MLB, Verizon Media, Harvard University, Ballet Hispanico, Lincoln Center, and more. He currently travels around the world teaching and performing spreading his love for music and dance. His latest work includes Netflix’s “Christmas Chronicles 2″ as a dancer, Amazon’s upcoming film “Being the Ricardos” as an associate Choreographer, and Warner Brothers new film  “In The Heights” as a Principal dancer and Latin Choreographer.

Princess Bio:

Princess Serrano discovered her passion for dance at the age of 12. Being of Puerto Rican descent, Latin dancing was in her nature. She spent countless hours training and studying in various Latin companies including Fuego Dance Company, Art in Motion, and Iroko. She graduated from Kensington Creative and Performing Arts High School where she trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Hip-Hop every day. She attended DCNS summer intensive as well as Cuerpos Creativos in Mexico, where she got to study Afro-Cuban, Mambo, Tricks, and Lifts. She went on to receive a full Wings Scholarship by Michael Jordan to attend college in New York City, where she studies Business and Dance. She currently travels the world teaching, performing, and sharing her passion for Latin culture. Some highlights of her career include teaching for Ballet Hispanico, Major League Baseball, Linked-In, Verizon, Consumer Reports, the Warner Brothers movie “In The Heights” as a Dancer and Latin Choreographer and more.
