Francis & The Lights, The Innovative Pop-Funk Band, Headlines SOBs, AUGUST 12TH
 New York based band Francis and the Lights will headline a show at SOBs on Thursday, August 12th. A mixture of pop, rock and funk, artists like the infamous Prince and English singer Peter Gabriel come to mind when listening to the band’s material. Front man and musical mastermind, Francis Farewell Starlite will mesmerize fans with his eclectic sound, eccentric style, and stage lighting (hence the band’s name).

Three years and two ground breaking independent releases, “Striking” and “A Modern Promise”, later, the band has garnered quite the following with supporters like Kanye West and Ryan Leslie co-signing the group’s future success. Their newest release and first full length album, “It’ll Be Better”, is available now online.

After opening sold out shows for hip hop boy wonder Drake and psychedelic alternative band MGMT, Francis and the Lights will headline their very own show at SOBs. Doors will open at 7pm, with Mr. Starlite and company gracing the stage at 9:30pm. Tickets are $16 in advance & $18 at the door; available at Ticketweb.com.
