CALVIN RICHARDSON, COMES TO SOBs FOR HIS NYC ALBUM RELEASE SHOW

On Thursday, September 9th, Calvin Richardson, The Soul Prince, comes to SOBs for a very special show on the heels of his highly anticipated album America’s Most Wanted.

The Grammy-nominated soul singer's last album was critically acclaimed and gained him the endorsement of such legends as Charlie Wilson & Bobby Womack, and Calvin has taken the momentum gained from that effort for his next project.

This year has been a landmark one for Calvin; he received an ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Award for writing and publishing 'There Goes My Baby,” a collaboration with Babyface, which became one of the biggest R&B hits of the year, thanks to Charlie Wilson’s great version of the song which topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Music Charts in 2009.

Calvin's first single from the album “You’re So Amazing” is currently in the Top 20 on Billboard's UAC chart. The single's video, which Calvin dedicated to the U.S. Military, has entered rotation on music channels like BET Centric & VH1 Soul. The Dustin Pegg directed effort has been seeing both critical & commercial success for its poignant subject matter and heartfelt message.

This show marks the first NYC performance following the release of the album America’s Most Wanted, and is sure to be a special night.
